I can’t wait for Sunday’s #SuperDogPics Twitter party, not only for the great prizes we’ll be giving away but for the expert photography tips from Life+Dog publisher (and professional pet photographer) Brett Chisholm.
This afternoon, I tried my hand at taking some new football-themed photos of Tiki and Irie. I started off with a Cowboys baseball cap, a less than successful (way, way less than successful) attempt. Neither dog likes to wear clothing (and how did I think I was going to get a baseball cap to stay on a head far smaller than an adult head?)
So I decided to go with the tried and true: toys. I have a new football-shaped plush toy from Petco that I’ve been saving just for this very purpose. Irie took to it immediately. Yes, this was her idea of a modeling job. As you can see in the photo above, she held it in her mouth for photos, then she posed with it politely on her paws…
But suddenly, from out of nowhere, there was an interception..
Irie did her best to tackle the other team…
…but both had the home field advantage…
Tomorrow I’m going to give it another try!
