Remembering Felix, 1999-2014

This has been a very difficult week; we said goodbye to our sweet Felix. We are at a loss for words.

We adopted Felix in April 2000; he was a feral cat about 8 months old at the time. He was being adopted as a barn cat but, from that first day, he lived indoors with the rest of our family. It took a while for us to teach Felix to trust at least some people. In return, he taught us so much more. Along with being big brother to our other cats Linus, Inca, and Coco, he was always best buddies with our dogs Tiki and Irie.

We will always miss you, Felix.

    Paris & John,
I am so sorry! I know your hearts are breaking with the loss of Felix. It is never easy losing our pets when they are family.
Felix was a miracle with paws that show you how much love he could purr to the whole family. Felix will always be in your heart forever. Sending my Heartfelt Sympathy!

Paris and John, so sorry for your loss of Felix. He left you with beautiful memories and so much love. God bless.

Felix obviously picked the right family to adopt, as he clearly loved each and every one of you. Best wishes as you say your goodbyes with each memory over the coming weeks. I’ll be here if you need to talk.

We have all been there and my heart truly goes out to you at this time. How lucky he was to have had such a wonderful home and to be remembered as he will always be, so fondly.

Thank you all so very much for your kind words in this tough week. Felix was such a special member of our family. He was super shy and so he was rarely seen by anyone but our immediate family…but I think he touched a lot of people… Thanks again for your kind words. They really helped.
