Happy New Year: A New Look for a New Year!

Share with fellow dog lovers!

Happy New Year!

We hope New Year’s Eve was a joyous one for you; we had a nice evening at home (although it was marred by some incredibly loud fireworks that Irie did not like…)

We spent the evening with the TV volume cranked up…when we weren’t running outside to see if snow was falling! Although the temperatures were (for us) incredibly cold, we only got a dusting of snow as you can see here on our front walk:

We were so grateful not to receive freezing rain; we’d stocked up in case of freezing rain which always seems to result in electrical outages here.

One reason we were especially worried about the electricity was that we’ve been hard at work the past week moving DogTipper (and CatTipper) to a new WordPress template:

We are still tweaking the template but you’ll see a new, fresh look that simplifies navigation, adds our Instagram feeds to the pages (in the footer), and also emphasizes our new focus: sharing happy rescue news and the joy that our dogs bring to our lives each and every day! With DogTipper’s 10th anniversary coming up this year, we want to focus on a cause that’s near and dear to our hearts: sharing the fact that rescue dogs are our favorite breed. We want to show the fun that families with rescue dogs enjoy together, whether cooking homemade dog treats, enjoying a fun outing, or snuggling on the couch.

We hope you’ll be along for the ride in 2018 as we work to share more positive rescue news–from the fun we have with our own rescues to YOUR rescue stories to happy news of the good work that so many are doing to help rescue pets everywhere. Let’s make 2018 the most important year DogTipper has ever had. We’re standing at a crossroads—sharing the joy of pet rescue can make all the difference in the life of a homeless pet!
