Car Seat Protection
Kurgo Cargo Cape
We permanently keep the back seat of our Jeep down for the dogs; that area is protected with a Kurgo Cargo Capt. [Our review] Kurgo also makes bucket seat, bench seat, and other car protectors.
Dog Tag Clip
Klippy – Pet Tag Quick Clip
Living in the country, Irie and Tiki aren’t required to wear their rabies and other tags on a daily basis. We keep their tags on a Klippy and, when we travel, we clip this device to their collars.
Whistle GPS Pet Tracker
Both Irie and Tiki wear Whistle (previously Tagg) trackers so that we can always track them via smartphone if they should get separated from us.
Kurgo Tru-Fit Harnesses
Irie and Tiki always wear their Kurgo harnesses in the car to keep them safely buckled in place. Kurgo makes several models.
Lighted Collars and Leashes
We love that this light is no more complicated than a dog tag. It clips to your dog’s collar or harness (or to you!) so that you can be seen on evening walks. The light has three settings–a constant glow and a fast or slow flash–so you can distinguish between your dogs if you’re walking multiples.
Dog-e-Glow also produces collars but we especially love the LED leashes. They’re available in a wide variety of styles, from camo to an extensive collegiate football collection. Collars and leashes can be set to remain on throughout the walk or to blink to increase visibility.
Glowdoggie™ LED Collar
We’ve had these German-engineered LED collars for several years and they’ve been great. The collar, which slips over your dog’s head like a necklace, runs on AAA batteries.
Solvit Deluxe XL Telescoping Pet Ramp
Extending up to 87 inches, this ramp is excellent for dogs that need a gentle slope to get in the car (like our Irie after ACL surgery!)
