Felines and Fidos may be forced to become frienemies in the new spy spoof Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, but both canines and kitties hold a special place in the heart of actress Christina Applegate. Momma to a menagerie of pets over the years (the star’s household currently includes a pinscher/dachshund called Tallulah)– the actress has used her star wattage to shine a spotlight on a number of animal organization causes, including Peta’s anti-fur campaign, the World Society for the Protection of Animals’ “Animals Matter To Me” campaign and Operation Doggy Drop, which helped pets affected by hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
The ‘pup’arazzi were out in full force on July 25, 2010 at the premiere of Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, where the A-list animal advocate got the chance to meet up with Catherine, her cat counterpart in the family-friendly flick.
Kitty Galore may wreak havoc on the silver screen, but the hairless Sphynx who stars as the fiendish feline was a “purr”fessional as she posed with Christina Applegate on the red carpet:
