A lifelong friend to all with four feet, actress Betty White recently reached out in an appeal for donations to the Morris Animal Foundation to help eradicate canine cancer, the disease which robbed the Emmy Award winner of her beloved Golden Retriever, Kitta. Today the proud parent of another Golden Retriever named Pontiac (seen in the video below,) the TV icon is a dedicated supporter of several animal associations, including the Los Angeles ASPCA, Actors and Others for Animals and the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association.

Along with Pontiac, the actress who captured the hearts of TV buffs on The Golden Girls shares her home with a Shih Tzu who answers to “Panda” and a Himalayan called Bob Cat.
