Katherine Heigl Promotes Dog Adoption

Using her star power to shine a light on pet adoption, Grey’s Anatomy’s Katherine Heigl paid a visit to the Los Angeles Department of Animal Care & Control on January 26, 2009. The Emmy Award-winning actress recently added an “Oscar” (the name of her new puppy) to her household. The lucky dog gets to play with a passel of pets at his new digs, including an 11-year-old miniature Schnauzer who answers to the name “Romeo.”
