It is with a heavy heart that we mark the passing of Loki, Mickey Rourke’s beloved chihuahua/terrier, who crossed the rainbow bridge on the night of February 16, 2009 at the age of 18. The daughter of Beau Jack, the dog credited for saving the life of the acclaimed actor during his darker days, little Loki was a star in her own right who walked the red carpet at premieres around the globe and was always happy to pose for the paparazzi in her latest stylish sweater or jacket. The memory of Loki will live on through the Golden Globe acceptance speech of her proud human parent, which touched every dog lover: “I’d like to thank all my dogs, the ones who are here and the ones who aren’t here anymore. Sometimes when a man is alone, that’s all you got is your dog and they meant the world to me.”
