"Grey’s Anatomy" Star T.R. Knight with His Dogs

Grey’s Anatomy star T.R. Knight may have recently stepped in front of the camera on location in an L.A. church to film a scene for the popular doc drama, but behind the scenes the actor’s two dogs– Arrow and Ebony– were the stars of the show.
One of Knight’s cuddly canine companions came into the actor’s life courtesy of his co-star and pal, Katherine Heigl. A noted dog devotee, the Emmy-winning actress adopted a lovable Lab for her friend’s 2007 birthday from Hearts United for Animals, a national no-kill shelter in Nebraska which, according to a report from the Journal Star, often receives donations from the blonde beauty in support of the organizations “sanctuary sweethearts,”– animals deemed unadoptable due to medical needs, age or personality issues who have found their forever home at the shelter.
