Hilary Swank and Her Dog

Hilary Swank may be a two-time Academy Award winner, but her cuddly canine Karoo also has star quality. The animal-loving A-lister, who found the cute Corgi/Jack Russell terrier mix roaming the countryside of South Africa during production of the little-known flick Red Dust, added the darling dog to her four-legged family upon her return to the states, and Karoo’s padded paws have been frequently heard on the sets of Swank’s movies ever since. The proud parent of a plethora of pets over the years, including a dog named Tanner and a German Shepherd/Labrador Retriever pound puppy called Lucky, Swank opened up her heart once again when she adopted another fur baby from the Valley Animal Shelter in late 2008.
