Eli Manning Help to Raise Funds at Guiding Eyes Golf Classic

Although he’s more accustomed to touchdowns and tackles than teeing off, New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning went from the football field to the fairway on June 15, 2009 to host the 32nd annual Guiding Eyes Golf Classic. Contributing to the more than $6 million accumulated since its founding in 1977, the event– held at the Mount Kisco Country Club in mount Kisco, New York and the Whippoorwill Club in Armonk, New York, raised a total of $400,000 this year.

The football hero recently posed with a pooch from the Guiding Eyes school, a nonprofit launched in 1954 to enrich the lives of the seeing impaired. One of the many who have benefited from the organization in Patrick W. Browne, Jr., a longtime friend of Eli Manning who taught the sports star how to golf years ago.
