Rescue Ink’s Johnny O and His Pit Bulls, Lucy and Chuck

Best known as Johnny O, one of the stars of the new National Geographic Channel series “Rescue Ink Unleashed,” this 6-foot-tall, 220-pound former bodyguard is dad to his two pit bulls, Lucy and Chuck. Leaving behind a history of substance abuse and troubles with the law, Johnny O , a trained martial art fighter, now dedicates himself to staying clean and sober–and helping innocent animals. The dog lover notes, “It’s not bad dogs, it’s bad owners.”
Johnny O–also known for his love of bearded dragon lizards–is one of the muscled, tattooed group of big-hearted animal rescuers known as Rescue Ink that work to save animals in New York. The series premiers Friday, September 25, 2009, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on the National Geographic Channel.
