He may not have a little gold statue for his acting achievements, but Mickey Rourke definitely has a heart of gold when it comes to canines. Although fans are accustomed to the sight of the star with one of his chihuahua chums, the thespian was recently spotted embracing a different breed during an autumn stroll in the Meatpacking District. As for an Academy Award, the future may still hold one in store for the star, but– as any dog devotee knows– the love of a four-legged friend can make anyone feel like a winner.

    These pics are cute, but I worry sometimes about sharing/promoting paparazzi pictures. They are a blatant invasion of a person's privacy and, by disseminating them, we encourage these photographer who simply don't respect the barriers between a job and a home life.

    Just my two cents….
