From the memory-making moments made by the 13 Labrador retrievers who portrayed different stages in the life of Marley in Marley and Me to the animated antics of of Dug in Disney Pixar’s Up, the dogs who have hammed it up on the silver screen over the past year will find out who is top dog when the annual Fido Awards from Fido Awards and Dogs Trust (the UK’s largest animal charity) are announced in London on November 22, 2009.

The pups in first place will promenade in the paw prints of 2008 winners Fizz, a charming chihuahua who took on the role of Poppy in Easy Virtue; the Yorkshire Terrier who shared screen time with Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall in Sex and The City and Dolly, who– as Mr. Darcy– acted alongside Rupert Everett in the British blockbuster St. Trinian’s.
