Barking a “Hello” to Santa, Bo Obama brought holiday joy to the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington D.C. on December 22, 2009. Festively festooned in a candy cane-striped jingle bell collar, the First Fido nibbled on treats as he curled up at the feet of Sasha and Malia Obama, while the First Lady fascinated youngsters with a reading of ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas.
Not only does a tiny figure of the tail-wagger take center stage in a gingerbread rendition of The White House that is currently on display in the State Dining Room at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Bo’s silhouette– along with that of Christmas trees– was also captured in cookie form for the pre-Christmas presentation, much to the delight of the little ones, according to The Washington Post.
The Presidential pup will soon get to see what Santa left for him in his paw print-decorated Christmas stocking which PeoplePets reports is a product from Arcadia Home.

First Lady Michelle Obama talks with a young boy in the crowd and scratches Bo’s side while other kids reach in to pet the Obama family dog during a visit to Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Mrs. Obama visited with families at the hospital and also read a Christmas book with daughters Sasha and Malia to patients and families December 22, 2009.
