Her onscreen portrayals have earned her two Academy Awards, and now actress Hilary Swank has taken on another role which will touch the hearts of her fans– that of ambassador for Iams Home 4 the Holidays program. Following in the footsteps of Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman, who helped the pet adoption campaign find forever homes for 1,202,701 dogs and cats in 2008, Swank and Iams have taken on the task of finding families for 1.5 million pets by January 4, 2010.

The Million Dollar Baby shares her own home with two tail-wagging chums. The star found a stray she named Karoo on the streets of South Africa as cameras rolled on a feature film, while Rumi was adopted from the East Valley Humane Societ in Van Nuys, California.
