“Heroes” Star Elisabeth Rohm Hosts Dog Charity Event

Guests gathered at Gotham Hall in New York City on February 10, 2010 for Chef Michael’s first ever “Be My Valentine” Doggie Dinner Party. A happening with heart, Chef Michael’s is donating $7,500 to Adopt-a-Pet.com to further the charity’s efforts to find forever families for our four-pawed pals.

Among the paparazzi magnets which mingling at the soiree– including Constantine Margoulis, reality personality Jill Zarin of The Real Housewives of New York City, New York Knicks star Daniel Lee, Ugly Betty cast member Michael Urie and actress Jennifer Esposito– was the host of the Rover-inspired revelry, Heroes star Elisabeth Rohm, who was on hand to congratulate the winner of My Doggie Valentine contest– Kristin Hartman of New Jersey and her barking buddy, a Brussels Griffon called Ouzo.

“I couldn’t imagine life without my best friend – my golden retriever Homer,” confided the Heroes star. “I rescued Homer and nursed him back to health, and I feel like everyday he repays me with his unconditional love and affection. So, I’m so excited that now Chef Michael’s is giving dog owners like me a chance to return the favor to my dog and show him how much I love him by naming him my Doggie Valentine this year. I’m so pleased be a part of the first of its kind Doggie Dinner Party honoring all of our dogs, including those who still need forever homes.”

Before enjoying an evening of live entertainment and cocktails for guests and Chef Michael’s culinary canine creations for all the tail-wagging attendees, Elisabeth Rohm posed for the cameras with a photogenic Fido named Bambi, just one of the many cuddly canines up for adoption at Posh Pets Rescue.
