"Heroes" Star Elisabeth Rohm To Attend Be My Valentine Doggie Dinner Party

February 10, 2010 promises to be an evening of puppy love in New York City as guests gather at Gotham Hall for the first ever Chef Michael’s Be My Valentine Doggie Dinner Party. Among the dog devoted diners will be Heroes star Elisabeth Rohm.
“I couldn’t imagine life without my golden retriever Homer,” said Rohm of the Rover she rescued from an animal shelter. “He is a huge part of my family so naturally, I’m looking forward to celebrating Valentine’s Day with him too! And, I can’t wait to meet the most unforgettable ‘Doggie Valentine’ at the Chef Michael’s Be My Valentine Doggie Dinner Party in New York.”
The former Law & Order actress has long been a champion for canines, having appeared in an American Red Cross “Dog Days of Summer” promotion of pet safety during the summer season.
Purina® Chef Michael’s™ Be My Valentine Dinner Party will be held in celebration of the winner of the “My Doggie Valentine” contest, which was conducted January 6 – 25. People passionate about their pups sent in color photos of their canine along with a caption revealing why their dog is their Valentine. Showing love for pets still waiting for their forever homes, Chef Michael’s donated $10 to Adopt-a-Pet.com for every valid entry received (up to $7,500.) The winner of the “My Doggie Valentine” contest receives a trip to New York for two as well as up to two qualifying dogs, dinner at Chef Michael’s Be My Valentine Doggie Dinner Party, $1,000 spending money and a one-year supply of Chef Michael’s canine creations dry dinners.
