Pet lovers in Checotah, Oklahoma are singing the praises of chart-topping country crossover cutie Carrie Underwood. Faithful to the Fidos and felines in her hometown, the award-winning recording artist’s C.A.T.S (The Checotah Animal, Town and School) Foundation, with the help of a generous donation from Pedigree, is scheduled to construct a new “Temporary Home” for those waiting for their forever families, the Tennessean recently reported.
The singer’s passion for pets comes as no surprise to Underwood’s fans, who is frequently spotted with her canine companion, Ace (see photo below). The charismatic rat terrier– a star in his own right, complete with his own fan club and an appearance in his music-making Momma’s video “All American Girl”– stepped in front of the camera for a good cause as Underwood filmed a PSA for the Pedigree Adoption Drive. For each new Pedigree Facebook fan, Pedigree is donating a bowl of dog food to help feed shelter dogs throughout the country.
