“High School Musical” Star KayCee Stroh with Her Dog

In May 2009 High School Musical star KayCee Stroh and her husband Ben Higginson welcomed a bouncing baby Beagle into their family. Like so many puppy parents, when the actress found herself pondering such pet topics as how to stop puppy puddles in inappropriate places and what to do when your barking buddy learns how to bound over a child gate she turned to her followers on Twitter. Her Twitter friends also became privy to the origin of KayCee’s cute canine’s name when she Tweeted:

“her name is Pyper it’s my grandmas maiden name & she has a mean set of pipes on her so we knew we had to go with that haha!”

Since joining the family, Pyper (who has her own Twitter account!) has posed for pics at several Hollywood events, including the Silver Spoon Dog & Baby Buffet, which benefitted Best Friends Animal Society.

During the event, KayCee Stroh smiled for the camera with model/actress Carly Shorten and the founders of Bark Pet Photography, whose “Sugar Tag” dog tags in memory of a fallen Pit Bull benefits Molly’s Mutts and Meows Rescue.
