Sheryl Crow Appears in Ad Campaign To Stop Animal Cruelty

sheryl-crow-new-yorkAnimal lovers are singing the praises of multi-Grammy Award winner Sheryl Crow, who is using her platinum-selling pipes to help those without a voice.

A dog devotee who is loved by her two rescue Labs Rex and Flossy (and who has fond memories of her Yellow Lab Scout, who was her devoted canine companion for more than a decade), Crow has stepped in front of the camera to ask fellow fans of Fidos, felines and other furry friends to become a Humane Hero. Having launched on July 5, 2010, for the following three weeks music buffs who donate any amount to the Humane Society of the United States will receive a free download of a song from the singer’s upcoming CD 100 Miles From Memphis, “Our Love Is Fading.”

An animal advocate who has also voiced her concerns over the roundups of wild horses, Sheryl Crow shared the spotlight with a few equine companions (16 horses live on her estate) and her barking buddies in the ad. Take a peek at behind-the-scenes footage and a short interview with Crow:
