Baseball Star Frank Herrmann Attends Puppypalooza

image002

The first ever Puppypalooza scored a home run with both baseball buffs and their barking buddies as close to 500 sports fans and 269 of their family Fidos converged at Progressive Field at a pre-game get together for a good cause on August 26th.

Presented by Progressive Insurance (which also carries insurance for your four-legged friend) and PUP!- Pick Up Poop Program of Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District, before the first pitch in the Cleveland Indians vs. Oakland A’s game a passel of pooches got the chance to walk around the warning track, chow down on delicious doggie peanut butter and honey ice cream and enjoy a respite from the dog days of summer with a splash in a puppy pool.

Sports stars got the opportunity to meet with some furry fans during the event, including Cleveland Indians’ RHP Frank Herrmann, who– along with his fiancee– posed for posterity with a photogenic pooch.

A happening with heart, a portion of the proceeds from each dog package sold benefits the Cleveland Animal Protective League. For more information:
