Martha Stewart and Her Dogs Grace Cover of Dog Fancy

In the history of Dog Fancy® no human has ever graced the cover of the magazine. When the 40th anniversary issue hits newsstands on August 24, 2010, however, that tradition will change… and, to borrow a line from the famous canine-loving cover girl, “It’s a good thing!”
Fido fans will find domestic doyen Martha Stewart sharing the spotlight on the October issue of the publication with her three pooches– her Chow Chow puppy, Ghengis Khan and two French Bulldogs Francesca and Sharkey, who have garnered their own star status through their blog, The Daily Wag.
The upcoming “flip” double issue of Dog Fancy®– the first of its kind for the magazine– will highlight the lifestyle maven’s life with her fur babies, her work with animal adoption and the recent launch of Martha Stewart Pets (TM) products, as well as dedicate a section to a subject close to Stewart’s heart, animal rescue.
