Bill Maher, Killer The Dog at Walk of Fame Ceremony

Over the years three legendary Tinseltown tail-waggers– Strongheart, Rin Tin Tin and Lassie– have been immortalized on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and although Killer’s name will probably never be added to that illustrious list Bill Maher’s darling dog did get the chance to lap up the limelight when his political satirist Poppa became the 2417th recipient of the honor on September 14, 2010.
Both fans and famous faces (including Larry King, comedienne Kathy Griffin and Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane) gathered to witness the dedication of the star to the caustic social critic, who is known as much for his concern for all creatures great and small as he is for his political commentary. Bill Maher plays an active role in several animal rights organizations including PETA, Animal Acres and The Humane Society of the United States.
