On September 18, 2010, Hollywood stars will lend a hand to help highlight a heartbreaking topic for anyone devoted to dogs– the plight of puppy mills.
Actress Michelle Forbes of True Blood fame, former Crossing Jordan cast member Steve Valentine (who currently stars in the Disney series I’m in the Band), former Mad TV comedienne Debra Wilson and The Dog Whisperer himself, Cesar Millan, will be among the glitterati guests who will gather at the La Brea Tar Pits in Los Angeles for a day-long look at ways to raise awareness of this ongoing problem.
Attendees will see a mayoral proclamation of Puppy Mill Awareness Day, Postmaster Mark. H. Anderson’s re-dedication of the Animal Rescue stamp, and hear Cesar Millan’s description of puppy mill horrors and his praise for rescuers. Entertainment schedule includes Me vs. Me and The Faded.

Dog devotee Michelle Forbes, seen in at the 4th annual Bow Wow Beverly Hills, will be among the celebrity attendees:
