When decorating the family Christmas tree with tinsel this year, dog lovers can also add a touch of Tinseltown with a holiday ornament that benefits our barking buddies.
Luminary and Los Angeles Tourism Ambassador Candy Spelling has combined her love for the City of Angels and her own little angel Maddie to create the “We Ruff LA” holiday ornament. The four inch tall, European hand-painted, glass blown decoration stars Spelling’s Wheaten Terrier seated on a Hollywood Tour Bus, holding a map of celebrities’ homes in her paws and enjoying the sights with her canine companions.
Maddie says ” When you’re as cute as I am and you live in a famous house in Hollywood, you get a lot of offers. The request to “star” on a Christmas ornament that would highlight my hometown and benefit the Lange Foundation was just too good to pass up. I like my image and can’t wait until you show me off on your Christmas tree.”
Purchased of the “We Ruff LA” holiday ornament will help to make the season bright for homeless dogs and cats, as a portion of the proceeds will benefit The Lange Foundation, which has helped to rescue and find forever families for more than 20,000 shelter pets since the organization’s founding in 1993.
Candy Spelling and artist Michael Storrings are scheduled to make an appearance at Dee’s Flowers at 11634 Moorpark St. in Studio City, California on November 6, 2010 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm and on November 7, 2010 from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm to sign ornaments.
