Facebook Friday is here! Every week we highlight some of the favorites of our own DogTipper fan page, fan pages and groups that will be of interest to other dog lovers. If you have any favorites of your own to include, be sure to leave us a link in the comments section…we’re always on the lookout for more dog-friendly pages to enjoy ourselves and to share with readers!
Recently DogTipper reviewed Big Daddy Biscuits, an all-natural, organic biscuit made in Atlanta; this page is the company’s Facebook fan page. Look for news and photos of the company’s biscuits (especially seasonal specials) — and photos of Big Daddy himself!
We love this fan page for its daily tips about making your yard and landscape pet friendly. Recent tips included how to discourage coyotes and creating an observation deck for your dog to prevent him from digging out or barking along the fence. We find ourselves looking forward to the tips every day (and it’s making us look forward to spring and working in the yard!)
This new Animal Planet show debuts Jan. 16, 2010 but Pit Boss already boasts a popular fan page. The show will follow Shorty’s Rescue as the group works to save pit bulls. Look for plenty of fan interaction on the fan page especially from Pittie lovers working hard to overcome the negative stereotyping the breed all too often receives.
Will you be watching the annual Westminster Kennel Club Show Feb. 15 and 16 on the USA Network? Follow along with the preparations before one of the world’s biggest dog shows on this fan site. This year’s broadcast will be hosted by Mario Lopez and David Frei so follow along as the days tick down to the big broadcast on this fan page.
On a non dog-related note (unless you have a dog website or blog), we also launched a new fan page this week for our ParisandJohn.com website with daily tips on writing and making money from your websites. It’s sort of a behind-the-scenes look at our business!
