Reuse & Make a 20-Minute Dog Sweater

Share with fellow dog lovers!

NBCUniversal’s “Green is Universal” and Etsy have announced the winners of the “Art of Reuse” contest, a challenge to create handmade items out of recycled materials…and one of the winning designs is a nifty dog sweater!

The contest judges included Martha Stewart, Oxygen’s Tori Spelling, Bravo’s Andy Cohen, TODAY’s Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford, FEED’s Lauren Bush and iVillage’s Angela Matusik. The first place winner was A Cast Iron Claw Foot Bathtub Couch, followed by second place Firefighter Coat Turned Messenger Bag .

But what drew our eye was third place: a 20-Minute Dog Sweater by Jennifer Kerr (who has her own Etsy shop). Instead of throwing away an old sweater, Kerr transformed it into a cozy outfit for her dog. For anyone who wants to try this at home, Kerr provided easy instructions for assembling this dog sweater in just 20 minutes.

You’ll find complete instructions for making this sweater here!
