My Dog: Chili, 10-year-old female

Some Clues : I got Chili from the shelter when she was about four or five months old, after she had already been a stray out on the streets. I believe she has some pit bull in her, given her looks and where she was found. I have no idea what else is in her, though, and would love to know.

She’s got a short-haired coat with no undercoat. She weighs about 40 pounds, and is a very fast runner. Not only that, but she can run or hike, even up mountains, forever, at a consistently fast pace. She still runs four to five miles with me a few times a week even now at 10 years of age. She’s been known to chase squirrels and such, but if she catches them she doesn’t care – it’s the chase that’s important. She doesn’t tire or get thirsty or hungry easily, but she gets upset if she doesn’t get a lot of exercise or mental stimulation. She vocalizes a lot – not just barking, but grunting, grumbling, and yipping to get her point across.

My Guess of Breeds: pit bull, Rhodesian ridgeback, whippet or other sight hound
