My Dog’s Name: Olive Bellah

Age of My Dog: 12 years

Breed: Dachshund

What I Love About My Dog: Olive is such a special little girl. She injured her back 8 years ago and has been unable to walk since. She has such a loving personality and hasn’t let her disability get her down. She just wants to be with us. She loves road trips, walking on the beach, fishing on the lake or just snuggling on the couch. She has taught us so much about life.

    What a sweetie pie. You are so brave & to love that dog that much, I would do the same thing. I have 2 cockers and love them both so much!!!! They act like they are human. Take good care of her & love her as much as you can.

    We love Olive!! I featured Olive and her story on my blog last January. We have a link on the post also that shares the beautiful song Olive’s dad wrote for her… and as Jill said, “get the tissues ready!”
    It warms my heart to see dogs with IVDD living such a wonderful life like Olive and I know the dedication that takes. But what these dogs give us in love is so amazing!! Jill and her husband are the greatest parents ever to sweet, little Olive.
