Adoptable Dog: Nina, Australian Shepherd in Texas

Today we have a true beauty for our Adoptable Dog of the Day feature: Nina! This 10-month-old girl lives near Spring, Texas (near Houston) and is presently in foster care.

Nina is a double merle Australian Shepherd and is deaf. (This means her parents were both merles, a breeding that often causes either deafness or blindness in the puppies…and sometimes both.) Nina is presently being trained using sign language so her new family will be able to communicate with her!

Nina is a petite girl and is already crate trained, housetrained, and spayed. She’s ready for her forever home!

Nina was rescued by Amazing Grace Pet Rescue in Spring, Texas, a no-kill rescue that specializes in dogs that might not have much chance: deaf and blind dogs, sick dogs, and ones emotionally scarred. All adoptions also include training.
