Adoptable Dog of the Day: Mattie in Maryland

Are you looking for a dog to enjoy the outdoors with? Mattie will be that dog for some lucky adopter. This four-year-old foxhound is on her second time at the shelter, having been returned for an unknown reason after about a year at a home. Mattie doesn’t know why: she’s housetrained, good with other dogs, know all the basic commands, is good with older kids, and even is crate trained (although she likes to shred her crate blanket!) She’s a real nature lover, too, and is looking for a home with a fenced yard. Right now, she’s in foster care, living with an 80-pound dog and sleeping on a doggie bed in the kitchen at night. She’s ready for a forever home!
