Adoptable Dog of the Day: Portia in Texas

Today’s Adoptable Dog of the Day has somewhat of a personal tie to DogTipper…I was shopping at PetSmart on Sunday and got the chance to meet this young beauty named Portia! The Central Texas SPCA was having an adoption day at the store and had this five-month-old heeler (Australian Cattle Dog) mix at the store. She came right up to me and was friendly and calm (even with all the weekend hustle and bustle going on throughout the store).
A volunteer was walking her around the store and she politely sniffed at the bags on the dog food aisle but kept exploring. The shelter is looking for an active family to adopt this energetic girl who would enjoy a big yard and plenty of attention. The Central Texas SPCA adopts within the central Texas area and does not do out of state adoptions.
Portia is spayed and up to date on all her vaccinations; she’s ready to go to her forever home!
