What I Love About My Dog: She is such a comedian! It’s fun to discover everything over again through the eyes of a puppy. The joy of a bug or a chunk of dirt!! Oh the joy of it all! Our sweet Karma really is good Karma!

    Congrats! Golden Retrievers are wonderful. I have two now and have had a total of six in my life.

    Most goldens are very good with kids. When my great niece, came to my house when she was little, she ran up to Merlin, one of first two GRs, and threw her arms around him. They both fell down in a heap. Merlin just sat there with this look on his face like he was bored. All my goldens have been like Merlin.

    The only draw back to goldens is that they shed -a lot. I went through about a vacuum per year before i I finally decided to buy a Dyson.

    I am not sure where you live, but my sister and I, (she’s a golden person, too), have supported and participated in rescue of goldens through Golden Retiever Rescue of the Rockies in, (where else?), Golden, CO. Bev is a wonderful person who manages to work full-time and rescue forgotten and abused goldens. If you are not in the Intermountain west, there are usually similar groups in your area.
