Adoptable Dog’s Name: Violet

Age of Adoptable Dog: 5-6 years
Breed: Blue Doberman
What Makes This Dog Special: She was found by Franklin County Animal Control weighing only 42 pounds and had emergency surgery for tumors on her breasts. She is up to 85 pounds now (good girl!), but has not been spayed due to issues with her heart during her emergency surgery. She is not a high-energy gal (she doesn’t chase balls or chew on bones) and she gets tired very easily. She has on-going eye issues and sores on her front legs. She is very sweet and I hope someone can see through the medical issues to see her for the sweetheart she is.
What Kind of Household Would be Best for this Dog?: She would do well in a home with other dogs, but not with cats or kids.
About the Rescue or Shelter with this dog: Hand Me Down Dobes is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization staffed by a dedicated group of volunteers committed to saving homeless Dobermans and placing them into suitable, loving homes. Many have been abandoned or abused, and need a tremendous amount of care and rehabilitation.
