Breed: Smooth Collie
What Makes This Dog Special: He’s been in rescue/foster care since October of 2009, so he’s definitely ready for a fur-ever home! Dallas was found as a stray and was very thin (45lbs) and visibly blind from cataracts. After visiting an ophthalmologist, Dallas was diagnosed with inherited PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy). He has adjusted to his blindness very well and gets around with ease. He is very obedient and listens well to instruction. Dallas is very easy-going and likes to sleep and go for walks and ride in the car. Because he is a Smooth Collie, his coat is very easy to maintain and he likes being brushed and has no objection to nail clipping. Dallas may be blind with his eyes, but he sees you with his heart!
What Kind of Household Would be Best for this Dog?: He is housebroken and good with dogs, cats, and kids! He would be a wonderful companion for any family, young or old.
