Adoptable Dog of the Day: Gwen in Illinois

This sweet old girl is Gwen, a Great Pyrenees senior citizen in the care of the Great Pyrenees Rescue of Central Illinois in Bloomington, Illinois. As might be expected in a senior dog, Gwen has a couple of medical issues. She lost her right eye to a tumor and is on medication for a low thyroid condition. Despite these problems, Gwen remains a happy, loving dog who deserves to spend her golden years as someone’s beloved pet.

Gwen is well-behaved, rides well in a car and is a champion leash walker. She is spayed, up to date with her shots and is house trained. The shelter advises that she would do best as an “only pet.”
