Adoptable Dog of the Day: Marti in Louisiana

Marti is a a 7 – 8 year-old Wirehaired Terrier mix who is currently living in a foster home under the care of the West Baton Rouge Parish Animal Control of Addis, Louisiana. He was surrendered to the shelter after his owner had to move and was unable to take him with her.

Although he has a sweet disposition and likes to be with the other dogs there, some of the larger ones have started picking fights with him. So, he really needs to find a forever home sooner rather than later. He is very energetic and can “run for hours” so a fenced yard is probably a good idea.

Marti weighs in at about 25 pounds, is heartworm negative and is excellent health. He is neutered, up to date on his shots, crate and house trained and is on heartworm preventative. If you are able to give this good-natured little guy a forever home, you won’t be sorry!
