Adoptable Dog of the Day: Luke in Virginia
October 26, 2011 by Paris Permenter and John Bigley
Filed under Dog of Day

Luke is a four year-old Beagle who was rescued from a backyard breeder. This has resulted in Luke’s being a little slow to warm up to new people, but he is learning to overcome his fears, thanks to all the attention he gets at the Hickory Hill K-9 Rescue in Ashland, VA. Luke was tested for heartworms and found to be heartworm negative.
Luke is neutered, up to date on his shots and is microchipped. He gets along well with other dogs and other animals. For the person who is patient and will give Luke the attention he needs, he will make a wonderful pet!
