Shania is a cute little Border Collie mix who is under the care of the Animal Adoption and Rescue Foundation in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She is 2 years old and was a stray during her early life. She didn’t receive much socialization or human contact while a puppy (her mother dog was feral) and she is still learning to trust humans.
Because she is a special needs dog, she will require someone who is patient and calm to adopt her. She loves other dogs and will do best in a home with another dog or two. She will also need a fenced yard to keep her safe. She is smart and active and plays well with other dogs. Shania is spayed, up to date on her shots and is house trained.
For the right kind of person who is willing to work with her and provide a calm, structured environment, Shania will make a wonderful companion.
