Adoptable Dog of the Day: Peggy Sue in Ohio

Peggy Sue is a gorgeous Catahoula Leopard Dog mix who is in foster care under the supervision of the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley in Marietta, OH. This girl is friendly, smart and sociable and loves to give kisses. Peggy Sue probably has led a rough life as she was picked up by animal control and has suffered an old injury to her right back leg. Because of this, she is classified as a special needs dog. Fortunately, she can walk ok, although with a limp and she cannot jump. The jury is still out as to whether her spine/hindquarters can be surgically repaired.

Her foster mom gives her a great recommendation, saying that Peggy Sue “is one of the most loyal, eager-to-please girls that I have had the pleasure of fostering…This girl is so smart!  She knows sit, shake, lay down and roll over.  She is housetrained.  She sleeps quietly in her crate at night. She introduces very easily to dogs, not a single issue with large or small dogs, very social and at ease with my crew of six here.”

Peggy Sue is about 4 years old and weighs about 35 pounds. She is spayed, up to date with her shots and is house and crate trained. She gets along well with dogs, cats, and children. This girl will make a loving, loyal companion!
