Adoptable Dog of the Day: Perdita in Oregon

Perdita is an adult female Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever mix who is in the care of the Humane Society of Central Oregon in Bend, OR. She came to the shelter with lameness in her back leg and it was discovered that she had an improperly healed break in her hip. She has had surgery to correct the problem but will be on the mend from the surgery for a while. Because of this, Perdita is classified as a special needs dog. She will need a home where she can be kept quiet and still until she heals, so a patient, understanding adopter is a must.

Perdita gets along well with the other dogs and cats at the shelter and she is a bright, happy dog who will make a wonderful companion. She is spayed and up to date on her shots.

What a beautiful girl! Wish I were in Oregon. Her name means “Little lost one” in Spanish….. Glad she’s now found, and by the right people.
