Adoptable Dog of the Day: Wembley in Massachusetts

Wembley-an-adoptable-dog-in-MassachusettsAdoptable dog’s name: Wembley

Location (city, state) of adoptable pet: Attleboro, MA

Age of adoptable dog: 1-2 years

Breed: Black Lab Mix

What makes this dog special: Wembley is a black Lab mix, 1-2 years old. Poor Wembley came to Randolph Animal Hospital after being hit by a car and no one even came to claim him. The only injuries he had from his encounter with the car was a small laceration on his front leg and a fractured tooth. That did not slow this boy down at all.

What kind of household would be best for this dog?: Wembley is a very smart boy and has already learned sit, down, and high-five. He is still working on his leash manners and not jumping on people to say hello. He is very active boy and loves to play fetch- he would do well in a home that would like to exercise him!

About the rescue or shelter with this dog: Paws News England has two missions:

  • Rescue abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs from high-kill shelters and desperate situations, provide them with veterinary care and much needed TLC, and bring them to New England where we place them in safe, loving homes.
  • Reduce and eventually end the 90% euthanization rate at the Tipton County Animal Shelter in Millington, Tennessee through community education on spay and neutering of pets.
