***This giveaway is closed. With 555 entries, the winner is Ashley C! Congratulations!**

As the days are getting shorter, you find your evening’s dog walk a little bit more in the dark every night. You want to make sure you and your dog are seen by cars. The answer? An L.E.D. leash.

One lucky DogTipper reader will win a Mhu Ghu L.E.D. lighted dog leash, one featured in the recent HollyWOOF bag given to dog-loving celebrities.

The leash has a thick durable nylon with a pvc center from top to bottom that encases the L.E.D.s both to protect the lights and to showcase their beauty. With three different light modes, you and your dog can be seen for up to 1/2 mile away. The leash has been buckle tested for 200+ pound pull. The battery-powered leash is four feet in length.

It’s so hot in Louisiana, we usually do our long walks around 8 when the sun goes down. We live next to woods with animals, etc, and always get worried about walking in the dark!

This is such a great product idea! I love it! not only is it safe looking, it’s cool looking!
I walk my dog in the afternoon on work-days and in the winter, it’s already dark by the time I’m out of work, so something like this will be most needed soon.

  • Alexis

In this Texas heat, I walk my dog at 7pm or 8pm but this would be great for when daylight savings ends. An occasional car zooms by and most of the time they don’t see us. We are on the curb of course, but this would be a great extra precaution.

I walk Casey R. Doodle first thing in the morning, a shorter mid-afternoon walk, and a long, rambling walk in the late evening before bedtime. At 9 months and nearly 75 lbs, he needs a lot of walking! :~)

  • Cynthia Downer

This would be great for me and my pack! Usually we walk in the dead of night, when the sun is down and it is nice and cool and there aren’t too many other people walking or driving around. I also tend to get upset at night moreso than the daytime – arguments with family members or just plain feeling blue – and walking the dogs is pure therapy for me.

  • Theresa Spaid

Usually evenings are the time we like walking our 3 dogs.

  • Amanda J.

I usually walk my dark at about 9am and 9pm. This would come in handy!

I usually walk my dog 3 times a day, noonish, around 4 pm, and then around 7 pm. However, I work in the film business, and we often have very long days 10-12 hours or more. Thus, it’s necessary to walk my dog around at work at night sometimes. That’s why I was hoping to learn more about the LED leash.
