My favorite memory of Elka in the water is the first time she decided to go in the “big girl” creek at the park. She looked at it a few days in a row, on our walks. Then she stood next to it. Then she threw caution to the wind and walked right in, and then splashed around, chasing the ripples that the currents made!

When we had our boat, our dog Noah would go with us – he loves the water! He would stand on the bow and do a flying leap off into the lake…he would swim around to the back and get on the swim platform – get in the boat and do it again. He would live in the water if he could!

I have a deep ditch in my yard that floods and turns into a stream when it rains. It starts in one neighbor’s yard and goes through my yard, the next yard, and then empties into the creek. Shiloh loves to go out and play in the water after the rain stops. Usually he doesn’t like to go in the rain itself, but one day I convinced him that it would be fun to go out and play in the rain. We both went out and played in the “stream” in the pouring rain and had a ball! It was cold and we were soaked to the bone, but we had so much fun! That’s one of my favorite memories.

I took my cocker spaniel Wilson to dog day at the public pool. The look on his face (have you lost your mind) as I tried to coax him into the pool was so funny.

I have lots of great memories of my dog in the water, since Ozzy & I often go walk on the local “pet beach” together after the kids get on the schoolbus! One of my favorite times was the very first time he came to the beach with me. He was a bit afraid to go into the water…until I ran into the water, splashing and having a great time! Now he jumps right into the waves, acting like a kangaroo bouncing up & down!

My dogs and I like to go to the pool parties for dogs. After Labor Day the before the pool are drained they let dogs and their owners play. The money raised goes to local dog rescue groups. We have a great time.

My little puppy, Sophia LOVES the water. She saw ducks for the first time in a pond and tried to jump in and swim to them. It was like watching a little kid who is all excited about something. The look on her little face was priceless!!!

My favorite memory of my dog in the water is the first time he decided to go splash around in it on his own for fun, after months of trying to get rid of his water fear! He was three years old when he finally decided to take the plunge.. and get this.. He’s a lab mix!

This is the first summer with our pup Jake. We took him to the lake this year and he was so funny putting in just a paw then barking at the water and then finally going in and loving it. :)

I haven’t taken my dog to the beach, but I do remember her first bath with us. I think she was pretty scared, but she managed to get everything wet.
