It’s not very creative but I use Q-tips to clean both my ears and my dog’s. I have found them invaluable when I found a stray puppy covered in bug bites. I brought him home bathed him (he wasn’t to thrilled with a bath and this was probably his first ever bath) the next day I looked at his ears and while I’m not a vet I would bet he had an ear infection. This morning I’m looking at a way to use a Qtip to jam the medicine cabinet door before I have to empty it because the safety latches don’t work on it, drilling a lock into the wall if the jam doesn’t work is a possibility. At least it took several months for them to learn to open it.

As a groomer I use Qtips in lots of ways. I really like to pull them thin and use them to detail nails after I paint them. . . cute!

Q-tips are also great for applying styptic to a quicked nail. It gathers the dust nicely and is small enough that the pup usually isnt to riled up about it being put on their sensitive nail.

A q-tip can be saturated with a degreaser or with baby oil to remove sap or bubblegum from paws. Remember to was it all out LOL

Q-tips make great haircolor applicators in a pinch. If you are coloring your poodle and want detail, sometimes the q-tip is your best friend

The Kittens Carriers were all used and needed to be cleaned, cotton swabs to clean the air openings on each side of the carriers because dirt gets in the
oval openings and/or the smell of the cleaner if not removed completely. I used an anti-viral cleaner, rinsing and washing a few times before completely drying
and getting it off all parts of the carrier

This may be a repeat but I still like teasing the kittens by tickling their whiskers with a qtip, but you can also make little cat faces with the qtips as
well. 2 eyes, one for nose, 6 for whiskers

The kittens are indoors too much and don’t get to experience smelling things in the yard like they should, lavender and scents on a qtip can give them a new
way to experience flowers essence, although they seem more attracted to my menthol rub.

This is a must win for me so I am trying to think of every new and known use for Qtips, I go through them by the handfuls when cleaning everything from jewelry to cat sleeping and toys, so I buy the cheap kind. But I like to kill
carpenter ants with them, because they tend to get down the sink and under baseboards where only a qtip and/or some borax can go. They are terrible in Florida & crawl on the babies if not eradicated, so I hope the nokill ant community does not reply here l<)

I always use q-tips for cleaning the doggies ears…not a unique answer, but q-tips are much better (more cotton) than the generic swabs

Pooh paw, qtips are still cheaper than a good Kleenex so when pooh paw strikes on the tile and it is only a small spot, a qtip with soapy water can clean it up.

Once you use a flea comb the fleas sometimes don’t come off in soapy water so
a Qtip will get the flea off the comb!

Setting up an art space to work with and around kittens is very hard, they think everything is for them to eat. Drawing some frames and could not get them out of the way of the ruler, a couple of qtips work to draw a straight line for a frame, then they can be slipped in a pocket while the kittens are sitting on the art paper, trying to eat it.

Kittens like to open the tape player and dvd doors now with their paws. Canned air just pushes the cat hair into the machine so Qtips slightly damp will pick up cat hair on the edge of the sound system tape door or on the dvd door inside.

Qtips dipped in peroxide to clean the blood off of small cuts on me. This is my first experience with long hair cats, I am trying to clip their butt hair. When that does not work we have pooh butt. It can be cleaned with some running water but one of my girls digs her claws into me the minute the sink sprayer is pulled. Good thing she is the sweetest kitty ever or there would be some expletives here.

QTip dipped in rubbing alcohol to get the kitten hair off my keyboard keys because it works between them and under them. My keyboard is on my bed when I type and so are half the kittens so beside putting the comuter into snooze too much they track everything on the keyboard.

Qtips to apply cream neosporin when needed for kittens, I was thinking about buying the spray but with kittens they move around too much and I am likely to not get it where it belongs and after you spray you can’t tell that.

Wow, two fifty, we must use Qtips alot! I use them to clean the corners of the fish tank.

I pull the fur out from between the leather seats in the vehicles.

I use them to clean ich on the fish.

I occasionally will use Qtips to clean the turtle’s shell.

I use Qtips to apply “stuff” to deice the clips on leashes and collars when we are out in the really cold weather.

Qtips are great for giving the small animals their medicine laced peanut butter.

Qtips are great for lubricating stiff dog doors.

I use q-tips to clean the little creavices of the sink.

I have used Q-tips to remove dirt from between my little dogs toes/pads

I’m in hopefully the last stages of a project to deflea (and get rid of the nicotine) in the house. I see I will be using Qtips to pick up fleas falling
off the cats, particularly into their water bowl.

Since the washing machine will be going like crazy I can also be using a Qtip to get stray hairs out of the holes in the machine tub, I have tools for the dryer but don’t want to get them wet.

There is a designate smoking part of the house which is unfortunately also outside where the Kittens go, and there are no cat people around me so I have to put up a no smoking sign for the kittens to remind people not to leave the ashtrays or cigs there after smoking, Qtips will make a good X over the word smoking. It has to look funny because my no smoking rampage has made people around me mad, as we enter the xmas season with another death in the family near. Go figure.

I have some more safety devices to install and repair. This I could write for hours about, with 6 kittens tearing at one thing they manage to turn doorknobs (I’m installing alarm systems), break cabinet hand;es, break the door lock on a plastic cat door…this has been endless. Daddy might have been a Maine Coon, because some are getting big. I am restricting their movement because of doing flea control. I have to throw things across the room not to be under seige while doing repairs. If I lose this contest I will probably be throwing some Qtips!

The Kittens have been in front of a camera since coming out of the womb. They love it and like to put their faces in it. This makes it hard to get a shot, I use various dangling items, the handle of the camera is already chewed off. Dangling a Qtip with the cotton pulled off and a treat put on the
stick probably is safer than some other items around here.
