Giveaway: Super Dog Sunday Photo Contest!

It’s time to start taking your photos for Super Dog Sunday, the big photo contest and blog hop we’re co-hosting with All Things Dog Blog to benefit Petfinder Foundation! We’ve got a BIG batch of great prizes from our sponsors: Gringa Loka, PetHub, Tom Bihn, and Wag so get those cameras ready! We’ll be announcing all the prizes and categories in future posts but we wanted to let you get started on your photos!

As you know, Super Dog Sunday is a football-themed photo contest; you can enter a photo of your own dog with a football prop (like a jersey or a football, as in our entry in last year’s blog hop, above) or you can add a photo to a photo you’ve already got of your dogs using Photoshop or an online editor.

You can also grab a photo of an adoptable dog from Petfinder, like the photo of Otie at the top of the post. We put his photo into, a free online photo tool, and added him to a special stadium photo frame, along with his name and shelter! [You can read more about how to use in yesterday’s post.]

How to Enter

Once you’ve got your photo, you can post it on your blog, if you’re a blogger, and link up to the Super Dog Sunday linky that will be posted on Feb. 5.

Don’t have a blog? Then it’s super easy to enter: just email it to us for entry! Send it to along with your dog’s name or, if it’s a Petfinder dog, the name of the dog and the name of his shelter or rescue. The deadline for submitting your photo by email is kickoff time on Feb. 5, 2012. One photo per dog, please. (And, yes, you can enter photos of other pets as long as they’re football themed!)

This giveaway is open to readers in the US and Canada, except for Quebec due to legal restrictions. (However, Canadian winners will receive a substitute prize rather than treats due to international shipping restrictions on food products.)

Good luck!
