Giveaway: Earth Heart Canine Calm (2 winners)

If you’re like us, you have a countdown underway until the Fourth of July…because you’re dreading the fireworks.

Like many dogs, our Irie hates fireworks and all things that sound like fireworks. Last year we reviewed Canine Calm, an all-natural misting agent intended to soothe dogs during these attacks of anxiety. Not only did it smell great (it was formulated by a certified aromatherapist and master herbalist) but did wonders to help calm Irie’s nerves.

This year, we’ll be bringing out the Canine Calm again…and so will two of our lucky readers! Earth Heart is providing two winners with their own bottle of Canine Calm to help soothe nervous canines.

How to Enter

As always, we’ve got several ways to enter in the Rafflecopter below, and you can enter using as many or as few entry methods as you choose. This giveaway is open to US and Canada mailing addresses. The giveaway ends at 12:01am Eastern on June 26, 2012. Good luck!

We don’t get many thunderworks close to our house, but my Cheyenne is terrified of thunderstorms. We’ve tried training, we’ve tried the CD’s, we’ve tried the thundershirt, benedryl, ignoring her, comforting her, covering windows… nothing worked. Then we tried Comfort Zone and it was like magic. She’s still concerned about the storm, but laying down calmly instead of hyperventilating and racing around the house. Sounds like Canine Calm might work as well but be a more natural alternative- would love to try it!

She barks, paces, goes to the door and bark. I’ve tried lots of things to calm her but no help.

All of my dogs are rescues. Lumpy was badly abused and has severe separation anxiety, thunderstorm phobia, is scared of fireworks and freaks out when there is a lot going on. Brees was very badly abused before my husband and I rescued him. He has thunderstorm phobia, fireworks phobia, is scared of new people and freaks out when there is a lot going on. Bella had been shot before we adopted her from our local kill shelter about ten years ago. Recently she has developed thunderstorm and fireworks anxiety. Sunshine was also adopted from our local kill shelter about ten years ago. She had come in as a stray and was skin and bones but her six babies were fat and healthy. Sunshine had been shot and also had heartworms. We treated her for heartworms but there was nothing we could do to remove all of the birdshot. She has has thunderstorm and fireworks anxiety for about three years now. She completely destroyed a metal kennel when we were at work and a thunderstorm popped up! We adopted Honey from our local kill shelter about eleven years ago. Like Bella and Sunshine, she has also recently developed thunderstorm and fireworks anxiety. I try melatonin but it does work very well. I have tried the Anxiety Wrap on Lumpy but he tries to rub it off the whole time he is wearing it and it does not work for him. I also have a foster dog, Pretty, who has thunderstorm and fireworks anxiety. We are in the middle of moving and had to board Lumpy, Brees and Pretty at our vet’s office as they could not handle all of the chaos of moving and people in and out. We are still in the process of moving, unpacking and painting and just found out that the previous owners of the house failed to disclose that the plumbing in two of the bathrooms does not work. The estimates are over $10,000 to fix it. We are trying to get them to pay for it since it is illegal for them to have not disclosed that. Regardless, one of the bathrooms will have to be ripped out to get to the plumbing. I know Lumpy, Brees and Pretty are going to freak out. I would love to try Canine Calm on them to see if this could be the miracle I have been looking for!
    Thank you!

2 of my rescues freak out any time someone comes to the door.

  • Jeanne T.

Buster would love to win because any noise for example like big semi trucks, cars, and motorcycles, etc. scare him when we sit on our front porch.  Also the sound of car keys rattling and  plastic shopping bags being fold up scare him and he hides.
    🙂

  • Jeanne T.

I would love to win and let Buster try this product to calm him down.
    🙂

  • Rosemary H

She’s always had some separation anxiety but ever since she lost her big brother on Thanksgiving she’s been freaking out in a major way when I leave the house and come home.  It happens even if I’m only in the front yard without her for five minutes.  I’m hoping this will help her. Thanks for the giveaway.

  • Coreybrennan26

my mom’s pup is skiddish of people in general – I’d win it for her.

  • Danielle Murgia

Sissy hates fireworks and thunder.  She’s always trying to either be on our laps or under something that’s way too small for her to fit under.

  • Fallywags

Dante’s anxiety hit an all time high this morning. After a thunderstorm I went to take a shower and next thing you know, I look down and he is in there with me! He is usually scared of the running shower! Apparently that was less stressful than the thunder in the distance.

  • My dog has separation anxiety when I leave and gets scared during storms.

  • lisa

During storms (and fireworks!) he gets upset
