Win a PetSafe Passport Pet Door!

The holidays are fast approaching…and that means an extra busy time for pet households! Would you like the convenience of being able to let your dog in and out at pre-programmed times of the day–but keep out other pets (or wildlife) in your neighborhood?

The PetSafe Passport Pet Access Smart System™ uses advanced entry and exit technology to give your dog the freedom to come and go–and to give you the peace of mind of knowing that only your dog will be coming in through that door! By using a Passport Key™ worn on your dog’s collar, the door uses radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology to identify your dog. Only pets with programmed IDs can enter and exit your house–so you won’t find your neighbor’s dog and cat (or a hungry raccoon) in your living room.

The door can be programmed many ways:

  • advanced selective entry and exit by pet
  • multiple access options (such as in-only access and out-only access)
  • access only at specific times of the day

You can use the LCD screen on the door to program it or just connect it to your computer with the included USB cable. There’s even a wireless connection for future remote programming from any smart device, even when you’re not at home.

One lucky reader will win their own Passport Pet Door from PetSafe!

How to Enter

You’ll find lots of ways to enter in the widget below; as always, you can enter with as many or as few entry methods as you like. Good luck!

I would like to know more about barking controls. Schooner and Skipper now bark when the phone rings and continue when we are talking on the phone need something to silence them.

Not so much more coverage of, as a suggestion: I like the adoptable dog of the day, but maybe there could be an archive on the site for those that have been submitted but not yet featured. I’m sure there must be at least some delay from the time a rescue submits an adoptable dog to the time that dog gets chosen and “published”. Many of the ones I’ve clicked on have actually been already adopted by the time they’re posted. Others sit in limbo waiting their turn- this would get them extra coverage. I lost one of my dogs unexpectedly in October, and I’m hesitantly starting the search for another dog. I have certain breed, age, & temperament criteria. I’ve of course been searching petfinder (even though they’re having huge issues right now) and other adoption sites, but the thought occurred to me as I looked through dogtipper’s adoptable dog of the day emails that this is another great resource- but I’m limited to the one suggestion each day. But if there were a section just on the website, not the newsletter, of “adoptable dog of the day in waiting”, there would be not only a large group for potential adopters to look through, but extra exposure for those dogs waiting for their newsletter day.

  • PJC

I won a door from you before when they were kittens it was too small. The dimensions really matter, cats can fit through anything but my cats have brothers. Sometimes they storm a door together to get out or in. My Vet called them a pride. They can break and have broken doors that were plastic and broken a wood frame. The largest is 14lbs and all energy, but paired with his brothers they are like a 35lb battering ram. So how does this door stack up against that type of brotherly love?
