Win a Collar, Scarf & Leash Set from The Proper Puppy

We’re always on the lookout for handmade products to share with our DogTipper community. We know that many of you love the personality and charm that come from handmade products that really match your dog’s personality and style.

We recently learned about The Proper Puppy, a new company based in Pennsylvania. The Proper Puppy offers whimsical colors and prints (including some Lilly Pulitzer fabrics) in collars, collar scarves, and leashes for your dog, from extra-small to large sizes:

  • X-Small     8-12″  (3/4 inch wide)
  • Small        10-17″  (1 inch wide)
  • Medium    15-21″  (1 inch wide)
  • Large        20-26″ (1 inch wide)

Throughout The Proper Puppy, you’ll see their own proper puppy, Sydney, modeling the fashions! According to The Proper Puppy, “She refuses to get her paws wet, snuggles under the covers, and crosses her paws while she waits for a treat.  She’s one proper puppy!”

One lucky DogTipper reader will win a collar, scarf, and leash in their choice of fabric and size!

  • Leah Lucas

Yes we do change the collars in the spring!

  • Jessica Barrientos

No, but he just turned 1! Sounds like a fun tradition! 🙂

  • No, we only have one collar for her right now (the other one we have doesn’t fit her) so it would be nice if she had a new, pretty collar. 🙂

  • Cynthia Amber Downer

  • BeckyJo

No, but he has a bunch of bandanas and we use the brighter ones in spring/summer. He’s an apricot Pekingese & it’s much easier to see him when he’s wearing a bandana.

  • Celeste

    I do, actually!

  • Helga

No, my pooches are country casual!

  • Deanna

I changed my dog’s collar for Christmas and to dress up, but I never thought about for the changing seasons. I’ve only had her 1 year.

  • Lynda Cook

I used to, but it started getting to expensive

  • Loraine Ellis

I haven’t yet but would like to find something cute

  • dawn rasor

No, they wear the same one all the time, but how fun that would be if we had some cute ones like this that we could trade out.

  • Lana Finn

No, we buy new ones every couple years to keep them looking nice, but keep same ones year round.

  • Rachael Henzman

I usually don’t but it would be nice to! Thanks for the giveaway!

  • Linda Szymoniak

I’ve used Christmas themed collars, but otherwise my dogs typically just wear the same collar all the time. I have five Treeing Walker Coonhounds and each has their own “color”, so each has their collar in that color. Since I also keep their tags on their collars, it’s just easier to keep the same collar. I DO, however, like to add bandanas once in a while for a change.

  • Karen DeGraaf

  • Mary Witter

Yes! Casey and I both change to summer styles, befitting of outdoor concerts & movies, beach parties, and summer festivals.

  • Kristen

No I don’t really change it seasonally, but I’d like to!

  • Christine Aiello

Yes I am always changing her collar!

  • Theresa Spaid

No I don’t but would like to. Get some girlie ones for her.

  • Dogmama

We haven’t done, but mostly because we only have two collars. It’d be fun though 🙂

  • Darlene Owen

No they wear the same collar all year.

  • Barbara Hutcheson

No my dogs have a lovely custom made leather collar with diamond studs

  • Phoenixtl

No, but having alternate collars would help!

  • Barb U

No, I only change it when it breaks (or nearly breaks if it looks like its going to) or gets really frayed. I can’t afford to be constantly changing their collars.

  • Cheryl Chervitz

No, I only change it when it needs to.

  • Holly E

I usually only change it when it gets old and she needs a new one

  • Shelley P

No, I don’t change your dog’s collar to a spring style. This would be fun though and then I could always have a spare collar when washing one.

  • Jdace

I change my dog’s collar depending in what we are doing. He has a dress up collar, one to go swimming in, an everyday one… so we love to get new ones!

  • Danielle Murgia

I usually do not change her collar.

  • Gloria Walshver

Need a new collar for my dog who’s male

  • Deena

  • Marilyn Nawara

No, he wears the same collar until it wears out.

  • Katie Mitchell

I usually change my dogs collars for Christmas and for spring and summer i am actually looking for a cute collar with daisies on it for my beagle daisy

  • I’d like to, but we usually use harnesses for our 2 big dogs, and it usually winds up being whatever they have at WalMart. 🙁

  • Kaylee Kuroski

Whenever I have the money I tend to change up her collar and outfit for the season! 🙂

  • Daraya

    I don’t change up my dog’s collar, but I should! 🙂

I usually change their harnesses once a year, or when they look frayed.

  • Bias

Gorgeous! Looking forward to decking out the girls… they’re gear is a bit ratty these days! I don’t usually get to change their gear for spring, but I would love to!

  • LyricInTime2803

Not usually. It’s a pain changing the tags around, I prefer having martingale style collars for safety. And, though I’ve seen several collars that I was in love with, in truth most get covered by his long fur. But I will put on more stylish ones for pictures.

  • Crystal Rose

I don’t change it by season, just by mood.

  • Rachel T

Sorta by season, but mostly on a whim.

  • sandy weinstein

  • Stephanie Grant

Yes, we change Loki’s collar to match the current season or upcoming holiday…and to wash them because he sweats a lot and they tend to become stinky.

  • jennifer p

No once they’re on I may wash their collars but I don’t usually change them for several years. Vix is past due for a new one. Thanks for the giveaway.

  • Deven

No. He’s blue all the time. Very open to a change.
